Vilma Heramia
Executive Director

Vilma Heramia has been Executive Director of the Carroll Gardens Association since September 2010. Vilma has over 20 years of experience in affordable housing, economic development, and project management. She has a Master’s degree in Regional Planning, a Master’s degree in Design Technology, and a post-graduate diploma in Housing. She is also a Certified Economic Developer since 2006. Prior to joining CGA, she was Director of Economic Development for a multi-disciplinary consulting firm, where she advised numerous municipalities, counties, and private clients on affordable housing and economic development strategies, as well as planning for large-scale development projects. In addition to conducting the day-to-day administration of the Carroll Gardens Association, Vilma oversees CGA’s affordable housing assets and cultivates relationships with various state and city agencies, funders, and community stakeholders. During her free time, Vilma enjoys watercolor painting and watching foreign films.
