Interview Workshop for Domestic Workers
We’re excited to announce our new Mock Interview Workshop for nannies! This two part workshop, which will be in English, will be concentrating on specific vocabulary and expressions that will help make for a more successful interview. Participants will have the chance to practice common interview questions, receive personalized feedback, and learn tips for presenting your skills and experience to employers. Ensure optimal care of a newborn
Know the basic care of newborns, identifying the common and congenital conditions that the baby may present
Understand the best practices and common mistakes of newborn care when working with families
Perform the work of caring for the newborn at a professional level

Welcome to We Rise! We Rise is a six-week certificate course in partnership with Cornell University to improve your skills as a nanny and raise standards in the domestic work industry. The training will begin on Saturday, November 1st and end on Saturday, December 6th with a schedule of 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. and cover the following topics:

Social and Emotional Development
Child Nutrition
Communication with Families
Home as a Workplace
Healthcare for Children
Preventing Sexual Harassment
CPR + First Aid
Community Organizing
This session will take place at the Consortium for Worker Education. Participants must attend all sessions with their camera turned on to receive a certificate of completion.

First Aid + CPR Training
The CPR and First Aid class provides nannies with essential life-saving skills, preparing them to respond to emergencies with confidence and effectiveness. Upon completion, participants will receive CPR certification for adults, children, and infants equipping them to handle a wide range of situations with knowledge and care.

Immigrant Justice Conference
In partnership with other worker centers and immigrant rights organizations we are co-sponsoring the Immigrant Justice Conference this Saturday. If you need legal support or want to connect with others in the city who are fighting for immigrant rights, this conference is for you!

Working with Neurodivergent Children is a new module in partnership with Cornell University that provides caregivers with the methods and tools to learn, understand, and provide better care to our neurodivergent children. After completion, participants of the course will be able to:
Communicate effectively with neurodivergent children and their parents
Understand Disability Justice and recognize and challenge ableism
Implement practical caregiving strategies for Neurodivergent Children
Promote Strengths and Celebrate Gifts
