Join us to re-launch the Unemployment Bridge Program which will create a permanent unemployment program for excluded workers! Excluded workers are workers ineligible for traditional unemployment insurance like immigrants without work authorization, freelance and self-employed workers, domestic workers and day laborers paid in cash and people recently released from incarceration or immigrant detention.. Our goal is to make sure that the NYS Legislature does not leave out these vulnerable workers from an unemployment compensation social safety net during times of crisis and job loss, and contribute to a stronger and healthier economy.
