Job Readiness Workshop on Oct. 24th, 2012

Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. (CGA) invites you to participate in its “Job Readiness Workshop.” CGA’s Workforce Readiness Program is a FREE service to community residents who want counseling and assistance in pursuing employment opportunities. The Job Readiness Workshop will discuss how to craft your resume, interviewing tips, workplace etiquette, using job search resources and how to land a job through networking. The workshop will be held at the CGA Training Center located at 201 Columbia Street, Brooklyn, New York 11213 on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

The Job Readiness Workshop will be conducted by two Human Resources Professionals:

Bill Drewes is an attorney specializing in employment law, intellectual property and general business law for over 30 years. He is a board member of the Human Resource Association of New York and chairs their Diversity Special Interest Group. He is the Director of Diversity Business Development for 24 Seven, Inc., a strategic resource for talent recruitment and management in Fashion, Retail, Advertising, Marketing, Design, Interactive/Digital, E-commerce, Beauty and Sports/Lifestyle Brands. He is General Counsel to Neotecra, Inc., a multinational information technology consulting and staffing company.

Deb Woolridge is a human resource professional in practice for more than 10 years. She has practiced her profession in both non-profit (Healthcare, Emergency Services, Rehabilitation) and for profit (Finance, Banking, Healthcare, Software) sectors as an employee and as a consultant. Clients/Employers include the September 11 Recovery Program/American Red Cross, Office Tiger LLC, Task Force Inc., The Actors’ Fund of America, AVSC International, FedCap, Sandata Inc., Harlem Dowling, Graham Windham. She serves on the Board of Directors of Harlem Dowling and is Co-chair of the HRNY SHRM Foundation Committee.
