Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization incorporated in May 1971 and dedicated to providing affordable housing and economic development to the neighborhoods of Southwest Brooklyn, that include Red Hook, the Columbia Street Waterfront District, Carroll Gardens, Gowanus and Sunset Park. CGA is also a designated Neighborhood Preservation Company (NPC) by the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR). For the past 40 years, our organization has provided affordable housing, economic development, workforce training and employment counseling, youth services, tenant services and benefits assistance to the residents of Southwest Brooklyn.
Despite the recent loss of our Acting Executive Director, Ms. Jeanne DiLascio, Carroll Gardens Association is stronger than ever and resolved in our commitment to revitalize the communities we serve. Our Board of Directors, headed by Chair Ms. Cynthia Gonzalez, is conducting a search for a new Executive Director. Over the next few months, you will hear more about our new programs, new services, and new personalities.
