Columbia Waterfront District Commercial Vision, November 6th

Wednesday’s Columbia Waterfront District Commercial Vision workshop was well attended by both residents and business owners in the community.  The event kicked off with a  brief introduction from Lindsay Donnellon, CGA’s Community Program Coordinator, and a retail market analysis from Vilma Heramia, CGA’s Executive Director.  The room then met in small groups to discuss commercial corridor priorities.  Each group presented back to the entire room with ideas ranging in popularity.  To name a few, ideas included bringing back the B71, 1st Saturday/Art Hop events, incentivizing developers to keep their building’s street level for commercial, hanging neighborhood banners, creating safer pedestrian crossings, and restoring the historic clock on Columbia Street.

Visit us again in a month and we will have a conclusive report to share.

Whether you were able to attend or not, any business owner in the Columbia Waterfront District is able to join the CWD Merchants Association.  Email us at info@carrollgardensassociation.com to let us know you are interested and the best times for you to meet.
