CGA to Offer Free Computer Training Classes

Starting April 4, 2011, Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. will be offering free computer training. The Computer Literacy Training is a six-week program that provides instruction on computer basics, internet search, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. At the end of the 6-week program and after successfully passing exams, participants will receive a Computer Literacy Certificate. Classes will be held at the new CGA Training Center located at 201 Columbia Street, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. Mr. Pablo Sierra, a professional instructor with over 12 year experience in Computer Training will teach the classes.

The Computer Literacy Training is open to residents of Southwest Brooklyn, as well as the general public. Due to limited space, registration is offered on a first come-first served basis. The next cycle for the Computer Literacy Training will be held in May 2011. Watch out for announcements regarding our next training cycle.

Funding for the Computer Literacy Training Program has been provided by State Senator Velmanette Montgomery and State Senator Daniel Squadron through the New York State Department of State.
