CGA Board Member Pat Ruiz Honored at Latino Heritage Celebration

CGA Board Member Patricia Ruiz was honored as one of the Outstanding Members of the Latino Community. Ms. Ruiz was honored for her work as President of the Boricua Festival Committee by Borough President Marty Markowitz at the Latino Heritage Celebration on October 20th, 2011. The  event was a celebration of the diverse faces of Brooklyn’s Latino community, featuring entertainment from Janny Marco and food representative of many nations. In addition to Ms. Ruiz, other honorees included Angelo Falcón, president and co-founder of the National Institute for Latino Policy; Erminia Rivera of Park Avenue Building and Roofing Supplies; and the La Nueva Esperanza, Inc.
