During her meeting with the CGA Board and Management Staff, Assemblywoman Millman gave a legislative overview of several issues, including those that affect the South Brooklyn neighborhoods. The presentation produced lively discussion about several ideas addressing economic development and housing issues which the organization could possibly address. Part of the discussion revolved around how local corporations might be engaged in a dialogue concerning jobs and other economic development issues, together with CGA, elected officials, the NYC Economic Development Corporation and the NYC Housing Preservation and Development.  There were also proposals to stimulate interest in the areas of economic development and affordable housing, especially along the waterfront.

Ms. Millman also provided insight on various funding programs and initiatives that the organization could tap to assist the community. On a final note, Ms. Millman gave acknowledgement to the great advancement that Carroll Gardens Association, Inc. has made in the past year.
